After a year of training I’d like to give a little bit of insight about the school.

Identity School of Acting was founded in 2003 by Femi Oguns MBE. The drama school was formed in response to the need for an establishment that reflected and catered for actors coming from a multi-cultural society. IDSA strives to provide drama training of the highest quality, whilst also preparing actors from all backgrounds for the reality of becoming a working actor.

Identity School of Acting is the United Kingdom’s and United States of America’s leading & double award winning part-time drama school providing acting training of the highest quality.

Now the school boasts a collective intake of 350 pupils, aged between 12 and 60 (and a range of ethnicities), but is yet to receive a penny of public funding. We flit around the building’s four studios, gatecrashing improvisations, rehearsed readings and experimental sessions as we go.

All the students wear uniforms bearing the school’s emblem, with “actor” emblazoned in bold on the back.

Since its opening, IDSA has received an overwhelming interest from industry professionals, including casting directors and major film production companies and has become the first point of call for directors seeking talented actors. IDSA is fast establishing itself as the school for grooming talent and its success is a testament to the need for its unique service.

With 3 branches already in the UK, IDSA opened a new overseas branch in Los Angeles which will bring more talent to the school.

As a big thank you for the experience, I wanted to give something back to the school and its students, so here is a 10% OFF Discount for IDSA students on our Standard Headshot Studio Session – Carbonite, using the PROMO Code IDENTITY.

Did you train at IDSA and if so, how was your experience ?
